Accessories for Processing Systems
Air processing is essential for trouble-free operation of a high pressure compressed air system. The primary objective of processing compressed air is to remove or reduce water and oil to a permissible level. BAUER is an international leader in the design and manufacture of high pressure processing systems ranging from moisture separators to regenerative dryers and their accessories. BAUER manufactures high pressure non-regenerative and heatless regenerative dryers for our I Series compressors (1000 – 6000 PSIG). And since BAUER is the manufacturer of the compressor and processing system, you have the assurance that these two important components are perfectly matched to meet specific requirements.
BAUER’s air processing systems are easy to use, inexpensive to operate and have a reputation for reliable service. The IP and SECCANT dryers offer atmospheric dewpoints to -94°F. Both types of dryers use replaceable cartridges. Contact BAUER for your high pressure air processing requirements.

All BAUER high pressure compressors / boosters include a final separator. The final separator removes the condensed oil and water droplets from the compressed medium following its exit from the aftercooler.
B-KOOL is the ideal solution for reducing the operating costs of your compressor and air processing system. B-KOOL is a refrigerated, counterflow heat exchanger that further cools the compressed air from the compressor’s air cooled aftercooler to 36°F – 46°F. This additional cooling causes more water and oil to condense out of the compressed air for removal by the final separator. B-KOOL increases the efficiency of the final separator and extends the life of the processing cartridge(s) up to six times.
B-KOOL is available for BAUER high pressure compressors / boosters up to 22 scfm with operating pressures between 1800 and 7000 psig.
B-KOOL is available as an option on new BAUER units or as an aftermarket addition to existing BAUER units. B-KOOL requires 115V electrical power for operation and is for indoor use only.

Weight: 105 lbs. (46 kg)
A P-FILTER system, if required, can be installed downstream of the final separator and available B-KOOL. P-FILTER systems can be tailored to remove specific or a variety of contaminants, and can achieve an atmospheric dew point of -94 ºF. These systems work by the process of adsorption which is safe, effective, efficient and economical. P-FILTER systems use replaceable cartridge(s) that makes operation and maintenance clean, safe and simple. P-FILTER systems have no moving parts, do not require power or lose any of the compressed medium for purging. The only required maintenance is to replace the cartridge(s) after their service life has expired. P-FILTER Systems are available for BAUER high pressure compressors and boosters up to 40 scfm with operating pressures from 1300 to 7000 psig.
BAUER SECCANT heatless regenerative dryers are the ideal solution for cost effective drying of high pressure compressed air for continuous applications. These heatless, regenerative dryers require only a small portion - maximum 5% - of the compressed medium for the regeneration process. SECCANT dryers use replaceable cartridges that makes operation and maintenance clean, safe and simple. SECCANT dryers can achieve an atmospheric dew point of - 94 ºF.
The SECCANT dryers are standard with an on-board controller which requires 115V electrical power for operation and connection to the compressor’s control circuit for cycle control. SECCANT is available for all BAUER high pressure compressors up to 125 scfm with operating pressures from 1300 to 6000 psig. A P-FILTER purifier can be added downstream for additional purification requirements.
SECURUS® is a low-cost accessory for the P-FILTER systems and SECCANT dryers that uses patented technology to reduce the operating cost of the drying system by ensuring 100% utilization of the dryer cartridge(s). SECURUS is unique in that the sensing device is embedded in the cartridge, thus ensuring a highly accurate measurement of the cartridge's life.
SECURUS® ensures 100% utilization of the air processing cartridges because the moisture sensor is embedded directly in the molecular sieve. The SECURUS cartridge, with its moisture sensor, is the last cartridge in the air processing system. SECURUS requires 115V electrical power for operation and connection to the compressor’s control panel or to the SECCANT controller for automatic warning and shutdown when the SECURUS cartridge becomes saturated. The SECURUS status display can be locally mounted to the SECURUS cartridge chamber or to the compressor’s instrument panel. SECURUS is available for working pressures from 2000 - 6000 PSIG and flow rates to 125 SCFM. SECURUS is suitable for outdoor use.

All BAUER cartridges process the compressed medium to comply with the quality requirements for industrial air and gases according DIN ISO 8573-1 Class 2 for oil content and Class 3 for moisture content.
All separator and filter chambers are made of a high-strength, fatigue and corrosion-resistant material. All machining is done in-house to assure the closest tolerances and highest quality. The final product is stamped with material lot and production numbering for traceability. The entire process and the final product is supervised and approved by TÜV, an internationally recognized independent inspection agency.
